It's not often I stop to sing the praises of the bookies but that's where we are right now. The settlement of long-term football bets in Leagues 1 and 2 had the potential to be a contentious issue but not the way Bet365, Ladbrokes / Coral have settled them.
In the bookmaker table they all receive a 1 in the win column for their approach to bet settlement. They have all settled on the final league placings but also voided bets on teams that still had a mathematical chance in their respective divisions.
